    LePage campaign spokesman resigns from legislature

    Alex Willette, the Republican representative from House District 146 in Aroostook County, has resigned his seat in the Legislature.   Willette is currently the spokesman for the re-election campaign of Gov. Paul LePage. In his resignation letter to House Speaker Mark Eves, Willette, of Mapleton, said he will leave the elected position to focus on his career.     Its a heck of a long way to go for a plate of eggs. Next Monday, Gov. Paul LePage will fly to Bernardsville, New Jersey, for a breakfast fundraiser thrown by Garden State Gov. Chris Christie.
